Working by lamplight

The weather today did not cooperate with my crochet ambitions, but with the deadline of noon tomorrow looming on a very gray and very rainy horizon, I had no choice but to continue my work and to continue it by lamplight.

I started with the easier part: weaving in the ends on the central section of the afghan-to-be, the results of which can be seen here:

With all of the then existing ends woven and trimmed, I continued to work on the project into the evening, adding the border by the light of a lamp:

As of this writing, I have added one round to the border, and now I am hoping to have one more border round done by morning along with a touch of sunshine for a project photo op before I need to drive to the North Carolin State Fairgrounds to turn this project in.
